How to Redeem Codes in Pokemon
Redeeming codes in Pokemon Shining Pearl and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond isn't the hardest thing to do, but you'll need to play for a couple of hours to unlock the Mystery Gift option in the menu.
Once you hit this point and you can see this option, then you can just select 'Get with Code / Password' and enter your codes. They should be 16 digits long - so you need to make sure your code is in the right format before you try to enter it.
Once you can see the option is available select it and then choose the option labelled. Then you may enter your code - all codes should be 16 digits long - and then accept the gift.
From time to time, gifts will be available via the Mystery Gift feature where you do not need a code. Keep an eye on in-game announcements and social channels to see when one is available.
