Now that you've chosen your starter and started to get into the world, you may be wondering how to claim those digital goodies you got for buying the game. Here's how mystery gifts work and how you can get your hands on them.
How do mystery gifts work?
Mystery Gifts are a great way of getting brand new items and rare Pokemon. Essentially, every now and then, you will be able to claim unique new things online based on certain Pokemon events.
If a new Pokemon thing is opening up, a new movie is coming out or there's a day of celebration, generally they will give out some special thing to celebrate.
You want to make sure you have this unlocked beforehand. If not, you could miss out on something great.
How to get Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Mystery Gifts
This is a little bit of a longer process in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. After you defeat the first gym leader, you have to go to the TV station in Jubilife City. From here, meet up with the producer on the second floor. You'll notice his blonde hair.
After this, you have to answer a series of questions correctly. Here are the responses you should make:
- EVERYONE HAPPY
- WI-FI CONNECTION
This will then give you access to the mystery gift system. If you purchase Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl before February 22nd, you will get a Manaphy egg, the only legendary Pokemon that can have eggs. You have to go into the mystery gift system and click the "Get via Internet" option to earn these.
As well as this, you can get a unique new outfit via mystery gift. This will only continue to grow with time, offering new Pokemon and rare items.
