Yumemizuki Mizuki is a fresh Anemo face joining Genshin Impact's cast in update 5.4. Leaks have already outlined her entire kit, but little else is known about her story and role.
Rooted in the Inazuman folklore, Mizuki is a yumekui-baku, a youkai that devours nightmares turning people's restless nights into peaceful repose. At present, she serves as a clinical psychologist at Aisa Bathhouse and apparently, she is very good at it.
That's about as much drip marketing tells us about Yumemizuki Mizuki. If you're more interested in her gameplay, below are the details on the full kit, including materials.
Genshin Impact Mizuki Expected Release Date
Mizuki is confirmed for version 5.4 of Genshin Impact, which will begin on February 12, 2025. The date is based on the game's update cycle on a new patch every six weeks.
Likewise, each version has two phases, each featuring two character banners. Since Mizuki is the only new character slated for 5.4, she will likely be in phase 1 on February 12. If not, you'll have to wait for three weeks until phase 2 starts.
Leaks also suggest that Mizuki is a standard banner unit. HoYoverse does release new standard characters from time to time, and if Mizuki is the latest addition, she'll be pooled in the permanent standard banner after 5.4 ends.
Mizuki's Kit In Genshin Impact Explained
Mizuki in Genshin Impact is an on-field swirl DPS with healing capabilities. Her kit doesn't appear particularly flattering which makes her a perfect candidate for a standard banner.
That's what her leaked kit suggests. Here are all the details about her abilities.
General details
- Rarity: 5-star
- Element: Anemo
- Weapon: Catalyst
- Role: Swirl DPS and Healer
Normal and Charged Attacks
Mizuki performs a standard set of 3 attacks, dealing Anemo DMG in her normal attack. Her charged attack will consume stamina to deal with AoE Anemo DMG, and her plunge will deal similar AoE Anemo DMG upon impact with the ground.
Outside of different animations, there isn't much difference in Mizuki's normal attack that you haven't seen elsewhere. Her most important abilities are Elemental Skill and Burst.
Elemental Skill
In her Elemental Skill, Mizuki will enter a Dreamdrifter state and deal AoE Anemo DMG. In the Dreamdrifter state, she'll:
- Drift around and deal Anemo DMG every few intervals. You can control the direction she hovers around.
- She'll pick the special snack "Yumemi Style Special Snacks" from her Elemental Burst from a greater range.
- Increase swirl DMG that nearby party members deal based on Yumemizuki Mizuki's Elemental Mastery.
- The state ends once Mizuki leaves the field or if you press her Elemental Skill again.
One important thing to note is Mizuki cannot use her normal attacks when she is hovering around. So, you're basically just hovering around doing nothing—an ideal character for your idle AFK teams.
Elemental Burst
Mizuki will summon forth "lovely dreams and nightmares" that'll pull nearby teams, deal AoE Anemo DMG, and will summon a "junior member" named Mini Baku.
Mini Baku has the following effects:
- Follows the active character and periodically spawns 1 Yumemi Style Special Snack.
- The special snack, when picked, will heal the characters if they have health less than 70% of their max HP. In case it is more, it'll explode and deal AoE Anemo DMG.
- If it is Mizuki who picks the snack, the healing efficiency is increased by 100%.
- If the snack remains unpicked, after a certain interval, it'll explode on its own.
Mizuki's healing scales based on her EM.
Passives
- Bright Moon's Restless Voice: Whenever Mizuki triggers Swirl while in her Dreamdrifter state, Dreamdrifter's duration increases by 2.5s. It can be extended only up to two times per state.
- Thoughts by Day Bring Dreams by Night: Whenever Mizuki is in her Dreamdrifter state and other nearby party members hit opponents with Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, or Electro attacks, her Elemental Mastery will increase by 100 for 4s.
- All Ailments Banished: Healing foods have a chance to recover 30% additional HP whenever the Mizuki is in the team. The chance of this happening is higher if the healed characters have higher friendship levels.
Constellations
- C1: Whenever Mizuki is in the Dreamdrifter state, she will continuously apply the "Twenty-Three Nights' Awaiting" effect to nearby opponents for 3s every 3.5s. When an opponent is affected by Anemo DMG-triggered Swirl reactions while the aforementioned effect is active, the effect will be cancelled and this Swirl instance has its DMG against this opponent increased by 900% of Mizuki's Elemental Mastery.
- C2: When entering the Dreamdrifter state, every Elemental Mastery point Yumemizuki Mizuki has will increase all nearby party members' Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, and Electro DMG Bonuses by 0.02% until the Dreamdrifter state ends.
- C3: Increases Elemental Skill level by 3.
- C4: Picking up a Yumemi Style Special Snack from the Elemental Burst will both deal DMG and heal and will restore 5 Energy to Mizuki. Energy can be restored for a maximum of 4 times this way.
- C5: Increases Elemental Burst level by 3.
- C6: While Yumemizuki Mizuki is in the Dreamdrifter state, Swirl DMG dealt by nearby party members can Crit, with CRIT Rate fixed at 30%, and CRIT DMG fixed at 100%.
