Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 4 is almost over, with just a few days left to go until the start of Season 5.
Galactus has arrived at the world of Fortnite and is slowly rising up from the side of the map as the event draws closer.
The Galactus event will take place on December 1st at 4pm ET/9pm GMT, before Season 5 begins on December 2nd.
Here are 5 things we'd like to see in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5.
New Map/Remixed Map
Although the Chapter 2 map is a good map, it doesn't have the same charm as the original Chapter 1 map.
It may be nostalgia talking, but somewhere like Slurpy Swamps just doesn't have the same appeal as Lazy Links.
Many players have been asking and begging Epic Games to bring the old map back, even as an LTM.
Recently Donald Mustard's brother spoke to iTalkFortnite on his podcast and explained that the Chapter 1 map can't come back due to it needing to be completely remade because of the new engine and mechanics.

However, that just means the old build can't come back, not that the map couldn't be created again and updated in the new engine.
There is a leak/rumour that we could see a new map in Season 5.
Galactus is known as the "Devourer of Worlds", which indicates he could destroy the Chapter 2 map.
The Chapter 2 map is actually the Chapter 1 map and it is what the land looked like after the black hole destroyed the original.
This could mean that next season we will see a remixed map, combining elements of the Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 map.
Allowing the game to keep all of the new mechanics, such as fishing and swimming, while adding old POIs back.
Could we finally see Tilted Towers return to Fortnite.
Graphical Update
Quite often we don't think that Fortnite has really changed since it launched in 2017, but when you look back at 2017 footage vs today, the game is vastly different.
The game did implement the new Chaos Physics Engine in May 2020 which did change the game quite a bit.
Fortnite will also be moving over to the new Unreal Engine 5 at some time in 2021.
Recently the game was ported over to the new PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles, as well as get Ray Tracing support for Nvidia RTX graphics cards.
With the new consoles getting a graphical update, it would be good to see the map be overall changed and updated graphically to make even better use of Ray Tracing and other improvements.
Maybe the rumoured remixed map will utilize it more.

New Rotation Tools
Rotation and mobility items are almost as important as the weapons themselves.
Items such as Launch Pads, Crash Pads, and Shockwave Grenades are all important items and ones that always need to be considered in a players loadout.
Throughout Chapter 2 there has been a very noticeable lack of mobility items.
It almost seems that as one enters the game, another leaves.
With the current map being 40% larger than the Chapter 1 map, mobility is more important than ever.
Instead we have seen a greater emphasis on vehicles, such as Cars and Choppas.
While these are great forms of mobility, they are very loud and let the entire lobby know where you're at.
It would be great to see a true return to mobility in Season 5 with all of the key items making a return, meaning players can spend more time looting and fighting, and not playing a 20 minute walking simulator.
At the end of Chapter 1, we had a plethora of options when it came to rotation and movement, so Epic could easily bring some items back from the vault!
Siphon outside of Arena
When Siphon was originally added in Season 7, players loved the new mechanic.
This was unfortunately removed later in Season 8 but still remains in the Arena game modes.
Siphon gives players additional health and materials after each kill allowing top tier players to keep their momentum.
Overall, this gives every player a more balanced experience and removes some of the RNG (Random Number Generator) that's present in battle royale games.
Zone Wars
Zone Wars was a game mode added at the start of the new Chapter and gave players a new fast-paced experience.
This game mode allowed players to practice their end game skills without needing to play full matches.
As of now, you can still play Zone Wars, but only on custom made matches in the Creative game mode.
If Zone Wars came back as an official game mode, it would make practising those late-game skills easier.
