FIFA 23: First Icon SBCs set to drop IMMINENTLY in Ultimate Team

FIFA 23 is here and the Ultimate Team content is coming thick and fast now.

The first promotional campaign of the year, the Ones to Watch (OTW) promo, is set to be replaced by the hotly anticipated Road to the Knockouts (RTTK) event very soon.

As usual, alongside the release of promo cards in packs, EA has dropped special player Squad Building Challenges.

However, we haven't seen any massive player SBCs just yet. Well, that could be about to change as it looks like the first of many giant SBCs is to arrive in FIFA 23 Ultimate Team soon.

Icons Inbound

According to the relentless Ultimate Team leaker, FutSheriff, the first Icon Squad Building Challenges are starting to be added to the code.

SBCs being 'added to the Ultimate Team code' was an indicator that the challenge would be released into the FUT 22 menus soon after, and the same goes for FIFA 23.

We do not yet have confirmation of which Icons will be the first to be released in FUT 23, but we can have a rough guess as to who might come.

As this is the first set of Icon SBCs, EA will not release the top dogs just yet.

You can expect the likes of Fernando Torres, Socrates and Steven Gerrard to be in the mix. EA may throw in one 'meta' Icon, which could perhaps be a Base Laurent Blanc type.

New FUT 23 Icons

As announced ahead of the release of FIFA 23, there are three new Icons in Ultimate Team this year.

German legend Gerd Muller is the highest-rated of the three new items, and his Prime item will be rated 94 OVR!

Brazilian speedster Jairzinho brings pace in abundance, and will no doubt have the silky skills to match.

Pass master Xabi Alonso will also be a popular addition, although his low Pace attributes may see his usage limited in the game.
