Tournament was one of the most beloved modes in FUT history, and it is returning in FC 26. The mode had the appeal because there were specific requirements to enter that forced people to try something different.
Imagine not conceding to a speed-boosting Thierry Henry or not having a Theo Hernandez galloping from behind to send you rolling down the touchline every single time.
If that possibility fills you with excitement, keep reading to know everything about the returning Tournament mode in FC 26.
Everything about Tournaments & Gauntlets in FC 26

Tournaments are classic knockout-format football, which is said to return to FC 26 Ultimate Team in a new form. It'll have new structures and a flexible schedule, meaning it won't remain as a staple like Rivals and Champs and will instead pop at key moments.
Like any other tournaments we have had in the past, the FC 26 version will have:
- Specific entry requirements (objective progress, division rank, etc.)
- Entry limits with refreshes
- Different squad rules and setups across the season
Having to make different squads was part of the charm. Some restrictions in the past included making a full bronze or silver team. It, for many, was a more "fun" 90 minutes, as the match was more evenly poised than playing Champs with someone who has all decked-out meta cards.
FC 26 is taking that even further and testing your bench strength with the Gauntlets mode. A Gauntlet consists of up to five matches, and for each of those, you have to build a new team. Your run won't end if you lose, and you'll continue with the next match. Of course, that means the more you win, the better the rewards.

That's about everything that was revealed about the Tournament and Gauntlet mode in the Ultimate Team deep dive. Finer details regarding the modes are said to be shared on a later day, closer to the launch.
Unlike Career Mode, there aren't many needle-moving changes to Ultimate Team in FC 26, aside from a handful of neat and much-requested additions. But with tournaments returning, it still has something to turn heads.
