A new UNC-inspired Air Jordan 6 colourway has been revealed, leaving many fans hoping to pick up their pair from Nike.
Due to the colourways' immense popularity, Jordan has in no way shied away from applying the University of North Carolina colours to its shoes in the past, and it appears they will continue to do so in the future with the upcoming Air Jordan 1 "UNC" mid-top release.
With that being said, we're focusing solely on the collegiate-themed Air Jordan 6 in this article. So, with that being said, here's everything we know about the sneakers so far...
Air Jordan 6 UNC Release Date
Air Jordan 6 "UNC" colourway arrived in sizes ranging from kids to adults on 5 March 2022.
That means they're available now, so make sure you act fast to pick up your pair before they sell out.
Air Jordan 6 UNC Design
Whenever Michael Jordan's collegiate colours hit a Jordan release, you already know it's going to look great.
The Air Jordan 6 "UNC" is no different, utilising the University Blue and white colour palette superbly to produce, in our opinion, one of the best Jordan 6 colourways around right now.
While the blue base layers are made out of nubuck, the white overlays are constructed out of leather, but both sections feature perforations across the lateral and medial sides for added breathability.
You then get a number of black details acting as a contrast to the predominately light-themed uppers. These include the heel tabs, inner linings, and elements of the midsoles.
Underfoot you'll find icy blue translucent cut-outs which, not only match the University colours, but also draw some parallels with the translucent Air bubbles in the midsoles.
On the tongues, lace toggles, and heel patches, you'll find Jumpman logos, while the words 'AIR JORDAN' are displayed across the translucent tongue tabs to round off this collegiate colourway.
Air Jordan 6 UNC Price
"UNC" Jordan 6's come with a $210 price tag for a men's pair of the sneakers.
Interestingly, this is slightly more than one of the last Jordan 6's released, the "Bordeaux" colourway, which may possibly be due to the popularity of the University colours.
