The season is heading towards the playoffs so we can expect even more NHL 22 ratings changes in the future.

NHL 22 Ratings Update February 17th

In a surprising bit of news, the NHL 22 ratings were updated after having not been touched in over a month. It's important to remember these are regular ratings, not HUT ratings.

A total of six players received an update to their ratings and we assume that there will be more on the way. Unfortunately, for now, that information hasn't been revealed.

They also didn't show any ratings going down, which was strange considering how the normal NHL 22 ratings updates work. Still, we expect more players to be added to the latest patch update.

Here are the players that received a boost to their ratings in NHL 22:

  • Matt Boldy - 81 OVR - +3
  • Jack Hughes - 85 OVR - +1
  • Jordan Kryou - 87 OVR - +2
  • Nazem Kadri - 88 OVR - +2
  • Kirill Kaprizov - 90 OVR - +2
  • Jonathan Huberdeau - 91 OVR - +1

So, why have the news and ratings updates been slow for NHL 22? Let's see if we can try to answer that question.

Lack of engagement seems to be an issue

There are some big problems surrounding NHL 22 right now and we aren't talking about just the latest ratings update.

One of the reasons these NHL 22 ratings are released so infrequently is likely due to a lack of engagement on both sides. Players and EA alike seem to be walking away from the game.

If you take the time to read the replies to the NHL 22 ratings update tweet, you'll notice that the replies are mostly negative. Players wondering where their rewards are, glitches, and bad graphics, all of which NHL 22 hasn't mentioned.

If the game continues on this path you can expect more infrequent updates and eventually, less support. Hopefully, we'll receive a large patch update that will fix some of the problems in NHL 22.
