After a long wait the NBA 2K22 release date is finally here!

NBA 2K22 Release Date, Covers Revealed

The NBA 2K22 release date was September 10, 2021 and the game is available for all to play NOW!

Luka Doncic graced the Standard Edition and Cross-Gen Digital Bundle as cover athlete, while legends Dirk Nowitzki, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Kevin Durant are on the 75th Anniversary Edition.

WNBA star Candace Parker was also selected as the first ever female cover athlete in a GameStop exclusive Standard Edition marking the WNBA 25th Anniversary that will only be available in North America.

Platforms

NBA 2K21 made the first leap onto Next Gen consoles with a release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, but it came following the game's initial launch on current gen consoles and platforms.

Last year, we saw NBA 2K21 release on PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

Those platforms have rung true once again, as NBA 2K22 released worldwide on all of them with only Xbox Series X|S and PS5 being considered next gen.

This gives players that participate in MyCAREER and The W more chances to claim rewards during each six week season.

CALL TO BALL: Hit the court on release day to start claiming your rewards in NBA 2K22

The first season was released on September 10, 2021, and players can work their way to Level 40 for that six week period. As you work your way through you'll level up in MyCAREER and MyTEAM and will receive a variety of rewards.
