NBA 2K22 is making waves on PS5 after the September 10th release date. Unfortunately, those waves aren't all positive.
Recently, there was a patch update to PS5 that brought more bugs to MyTEAM, frustrating even more next gen players.

UPDATED - PS5 players experience more bugs after patch
As we ramp through the first Season of NBA 2K22 we've received multiple patches to help the flow of the game. However, the most recent patch brought a strange bug to the PS5.
The bug was inside of MyTEAM and would prevent any card artwork from showing. On top of that, you couldn't join Domination games, but it would count against your contracts.
2K Support hasn't mentioned why this is happening or if there's any fix for it. If you're experiencing this issue we'd suggest reporting the problem to them directly here.

NBA 2K22 Next Gen review
It must be noted that this review is still in progress, with the game having come out a matter of hours ago.
Having said that, we are very impressed with what we've seen so far!
The gameplay feels much better than NBA 2K21, perhaps somewhat down to the Next Gen version.
The controls tutorials seem to be the only thing letting the game down at the moment, with certain sections not responding as intended or not properly explaining certain actions.

NBA 2K22 arrived on Friday, September 10, 2021 on all platforms, including PS5.

The NBA 2K22 prices have been revealed!
The NBA 2K22 Standard Edition on PS5 is priced at £64.99 / $69.99.
The Cross-Gen Digital Bundle is priced at £74.99 / $79.99, which grants access to the Standard Edition for both current and next gen platforms.
The 75th Anniversary Edition on PS5 is priced at £84.99 / $99.99 (this includes both the current gen and next gen versions).
The NBA 2K22 WNBA 25th Anniversary Edition on PS5 is priced at £64.99 / $69.99.

Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks graces the cover of both the Standard Edition and Cross-Gen Digital Bundles.
The 75th Anniversary Edition on the other hand will see Dirk Nowitzki, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and current NBA star Kevin Durant on the cover.
Next Gen Game Modes
While NBA 2K22 on PS5 will come with a higher price, one of the advantages to the next gen title will be next gen exclusive game modes.
The big one being The City, which debuted last year and has been praised as one of the best single player modes in sports gaming today.
The City will get even bigger this year, and we may see more next gen specific upgrades to further incentivize fans to make the leap away from current gen.
