It is finally here, and now fans all over the globe can pick up their bats and take a swing at the new game from San Diego Studios.

MLB The Show 22 Countdown
The official release date for MLB The Show 22 is April 5, 2022, which is only a day away. It's time to begin our countdown for the game.
MLB The Show 22 COUNTDOWN
So, what's the first thing that you should do when loading up MLB The Show 22? We'd suggest checking out our controls guide to get used to the game.
We have guides for pitching, batting, baserunning, and a general guide for all the basic controls in MLB The Show 22. This way, you'll hit Diamond Dynasty and Road to the Show, knowing everything you need to.
Now, let's take a look at a new game mode in Diamond Dynasty, Mini Seasons.
Mini Seasons in Diamond Dynasty
Mini Seasons is a new game mode in Diamond Dynasty where you can take your squad against CPU-operated players.
This 28-game season is a great chance to test out your Diamond Dynasty squad before taking them to the online game modes. You'll also earn tons of rewards.
Here are some of the rewards you can expect to receive:
- Exclusive Cards
- Packs
- XP
- Stubs
Players who win the championship will be given 15 MLB The Show 22 Packs, 10,000 Stubs, and 5,000 XP. For a deep dive on Mini Seasons, head here.
MLB The Show 22 on Xbox Game Pass
If you're on Xbox and looking to land MLB The Show 22 on Xbox Game Pass you can do so starting today.
Titled the MLB The Show 22 Xbox Game Pass Early Access Bundle, players can get early access to the game for just $50 USD.
The bundle also includes the following rewards:
- 2 Gold Choice packs
- 10 The Show packs
- 1 Ballplayer pack
- Double daily rewards
- 10K Stubs
It's important to note that you can earn these rewards outside of the MLB The Show Xbox Game Pass bundle, so keep that in mind.
MLB The Show 22 Review
We've begun our own MLB The Show 22 review after gaining early access to the game. So far, we don't have very many complaints.
The gameplay is a shining part of the game so far and we've only just scratched the surface. As we continue to play we get to experience more of the hitting and pitching changes.
There's still so much more to come as we work through MLB The Show 22 and the official launch. Road to the Show is also a big stand-out this year.
