Opening Night Live Coutndown: We're hours away from all the big reveals

Gamescom 2021 has started and we're about to continue on from the Xbox Stream last night with news about Far Cry 6, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and more! Opening Night Live is on the way and there's a lot to look forward to. Here's everything you need to know ahead of time.

UPDATE - Genshin Impact on Switch?!

Ahead of tonight's stream, we know that Genshin Impact is going to appear during Opening Night Live and that means something big is on the way - Genshin Impact's last Special Program Announcement was only a handful of days ago!

Is Genshin Impact coming to Nintendo Switch? It's the only major gaming platform where you can't jump into Teyvat and Genshin Impact on the Nintendo Switch would be the perfect place for it.

Only time will tell, but there are rumblings that this may be the case so keep an eye out!

XBOX - It all starts with Xbox's Stream...

Geoff Keighley's Opening Night Live isn't actually going to be the first Gamescom 2021 event to start - The Xbox Stream is kicking things off a whole day before and we have everything you need to know below.

The Xbox Stream is due to start at the following times:

  • 10:00 August 24th - PST
  • 13:00 August 24th - EST
  • 18:00 August 24th - BST

You'll be able to tune into it through the Official Xbox Channels on Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. The Xbox Stream is going to be about 90 minutes long and we're expecting to see Halo Infinite, the next Forza Horizon title, and the future for Game Pass all discussed during this.

OPENING NIGHT LIVE - This is the big one...

Opening Night Live is going to be a two-hour showcase that you won't want to miss - Keighley has confirmed that over thirty games are going to be shown during the presentation. Here's the key information you need to know ahead of time.

CAMPAIGN REVEAL - We should be getting our first look at Vanguard's Campaign during Opening Night Live

Opening Night Live is going to start at the following times:

  • 11:00 August 25th - PST
  • 14:00 August 25th - EST
  • 19:00 August 25th - BST

This is going to be streamed on Gamescom 2021's official site - and should be available to watch everywhere else. Youtube would be your best bet for this, but it should also pop up on a few Twitch channels and on Twitter, too. Opening Night Live is going to focus a lot on titles releasing in the latter half of 2021, but there's going to be a few surprises in there.

What will we see over the next few days?

Ahead of Opening Night Live, Geoff Keighley has been sharing a few hints at what to expect during the presentation. In addition to that, a few developers have shared their own announcements confirming their appearance during Opening Night Live.

As for Today's Xbox Stream, anything could happen. Xbox has been keeping tight-lipped about the event and we don't know what to expect - well, other than a Halo Infinite release date. We really need one of those, right?
