As was the case in the first game, weapons in Dying Light 2 have quite a short life. Each one has a durability bar, which will empty the more you use it in combat. If you've found a favourite pipe or knife, here's what you need to know about whether you can repair weapons in Dying Light 2 or fix them entierly.
If you take a look at the screenshot in the image down below, you'll see that the weapon has a Durability bar just below the damage rating. Every weapon has one, and once it's empty the weapon will break and you'll have to drop it or sell it for a tiny amount.
How to Repair Weapons in Dying Light 2
While there is no way to properly repair weapons, you can boost a weapon's durability a little bit.
All you need to do is equip weapons mods to the weapons you want to repair. They won't fully repair the weapon, nor will they stop it from eventually breaking, but they'll prolong its life. That's the only way to repair a weapon.
To equip weapon mods, press triangle if you're on PlayStation (Y on Xbox) to modify a weapon from the inventory tab. Then, you can add a mod to a weapon if you've got enough of the required resources. Wiring is something you may find tough to find, but they can often be bought from merchants.
Can You Fix Broken Weapons?
Once a weapon is broken in Dying Light 2, that's the end for it. You cannot bring it back to life. If a weapon has zero durability left, you won't be able to equip it, with Aiden immediately changing weapon if you try to do so.
Thankfully, you'll come across new weapons pretty regularly as you progress through the story, so don't worry too much about now being able to repair them.
