How to Change Difficulty in Dying Light 2

The developers say that Dying Light has upwards of 500 hours of content in it. Throughout, you'll find tough enemies, climbable buildings and everything else you'd expect from an open world game. If you are struggling with the combat, here's how to change difficulty in Dying Light 2 to make it a little easier.

How to Change Difficulty in Dying Light 2

Thankfully, doing so is nice and easy. To change Dying Light 2's difficulty, you merely have to go into the pause menu, click on the "options" tab and find difficulty in the "game" menu. After you have changed it to your desired difficulty, just leave the menu and accept changes to swap it around.

The great thing about this is that it can be changed on the fly. If one particularly hard area is causing you hassle, you can flick it just for that area and change it back when you're out of the woods. If you're in a particularly hard mission without healing items, there's no shame in changing it just for a little while.

The world can occasionally be a little tough and some areas are much harder than others. If you don't want to change difficulty, there are others ways of getting through it a little easier.

The option difficulties are:

  • Easy
  • Normal
  • Hard

How to make the game easier

You should always pay attention to your skills and world level. When you level up your skill trees, your world level will also go up, giving access to better gear. If enemies are taking you out very quickly, it seems likely that you are just under-levelled for the current area.

As well as this, make sure to balance the way you spend your inhibitors. You want enough health and stamina to get the best possible skills as early as possible.

Finally, use your money to get blueprints and upgrade them. Having good healing items and tough mods is the best way of going into encounters as prepared as possible.
