EA has just confirmed the first four players who will be receiving Ones to Watch (OTW) cards in fifa 23 Ultimate Team.
It's no surprise to see one of the hottest prospects and most valuable players in world football, Erling Haaland, in the mix, but who has joined him?
Take a look at the first official FIFA 23 Ones to Watch players below.
First four OTW players REVEALED
The first four Ones to Watch players to be officially confirmed by EA have all made the switch to the English top flight and play for Premier League clubs.
The following players will be getting OTW cards in FUT 23:
- Erling Haaland (OVR 88)
- Raheem Sterling (OVR 87)
- Darwin Nunez (OVR 82)
- Richarlison (OVR 82)
Erling Haaland (OVR 88)
The biggest transfer of the summer, Erling Haaland will be hoping to keep up his phenomenal goalscoring record at his new club, Manchester City.
We expect plenty of Team of the Week (TOTW) inclusions for the Norway international striker, having already netted an astonishing 10 goals in his first 6 Premier League matches.
Raheem Sterling (OVR 87)
One of Chelsea's big summer signings, Raheem Sterling switched to the club in order to get more game time than he was seeing at Manchester City.
Over the last season, his rating dropped slightly from 88 OVR to 87 OVR, which is what we believe he will start with on FIFA 23.
Darwin Nunez (OVR 82)
Liverpool have softened the blow of losing world-class winger Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich by signing Darwin Nunez for a reported £85 million.
It hasn't taken long for the former Benfica striker to make a name for himself in a Red shirt, having scored one, assisted one and been sent off already.
Richarlison (OVR 82)
Spurs' marquee signing this summer was snatching Richarlison from Everton, with former Brighton man Yves Bissouma also making the move.
The Brazilian international forward will not only provide cover for all three forwards at Spurs but will add a new dynamic to the attacking line.
Ones to Watch cards explained
Ones to Watch cards have featured in the past couple of Ultimate Team seasons, and they will be the first set of special cards in the new game.
The cards included are selected from the top summer transfers and are given dynamic ratings that increase with every selection in Team of the Week as well as on a 'wins to watch' basis.
You can secure yourself a Ones to Watch item from the outset of FUT 23 by pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition of FIFA 23.
How do OTW upgrades work?
We expect Ones to Watch card upgrades to work in the same way that they did in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.
If you are not sure how they work, then take a look at EA's summary below as there are some changes to the previous editions.
"As players show off their skills on the pitch for their new club, their Ones To Watch item will upgrade when they receive a performance-based in-form item such as Team of the Week and Man of the Match.
"New in FUT 22, OTW items will also be eligible for a ‘Wins to Watch’ upgrade, a one-time +1 In-Form boost if a team wins five matches out of their next ten domestic league games starting from October 1!"
