The release date for FIFA 23 is fast-approaching, and EA has now revealed three new legends that will be available in the game.
Icons have been a staple of Ultimate Team for many years now, and three brand-new Icons will be playable in FUT 23.
While we await confirmation of departing Icons, here are the three new superstars to look out for in packs.
Gerd Muller (89 - 92 - 94)
The highest-rated of the three new Icons is legendary German striker, Gerd Muller.
Muller holds an incredible goals record in international football, scoring 68 times for Germany in just 62 appearances.
His goals helped Germany win a World Cup and a European Championship during his career.
Muller's goalscoring exploits were not limited to international football either, and his 365 goals in the Bundesliga remain a record.
Jairzinho (88 - 90 - 92)
Our second new Icon is Brazilian winger Jairzinho.
Another World Cup winner, Jairzinho was part of the Brazilian squad that lifted the trophy in 1970.
The Samba star looks like a future fan-favourite in FUT 23 with his blistering pace and silky dribbling skills.
All three of his Icon items boast 90+ Pace, so he is sure to terrorise opposing full-backs.
Xabi Alonso (OVR 87 - 89 - 90)
The third and final new Icon is yet another World Cup winner, with Spanish midfield maestro Xabi Alonso joining the ranks.
Alonso is one of modern football's most decorated players, with his trophy cabinet boasting a World Cup and two European Championships.
In domestic football, Alonso has lifted the Champions League twice and won four league titles across Germany and Spain.
Unfortunately, each of his three confirmed Icon items all look a bit pedestrian and may not be suitable for Ultimate Team play.
