This potential rating is set by EA Sports and to qualify as a wonderkid, your potential rating needs to be greater than 82.

Even though a player is set with a potential rating, it can fluctuate depending on form and success.
What is an Authentic Wonderkid?
An authentic wonderkid in FIFA 23 is a young talent with high potential that just so happens to have a real/authentic face scan.
This usually happens when a player is at a top-level club and therefore has been scanned alongside other notable stars.
Wonderkids can also receive authentic face scans when they become notable in the football sphere, meaning more scans can be added throughout FIFA 23's cycle.
