Is Minecraft better than Roblox?

Minecraft and Roblox are two of the biggest games in the world and this is for a good reason. They both have huge player bases, are bursting with creativity and are simplistic enough to get started without hassle.

As well as this, they have surprising hidden depth to the way their mechanics work and players have been able to use that to make some really impressive things. If you're looking to play one, here's our thoughts on which is better, Minecraft or Roblox.

Minecraft and its strengths

Fresh air, the wide open world, adventure - these are things that sum up Minecraft well. It's all about exploration and your ability to truly make the world yours.

Minecraft is a survival game all about going into mines and bringing back great treasures. Where it is strongest is in its ability to let you do what you like.

Minecraft is often described as Lego in gaming form and this isn't an awful description. They are both blocky, iconic and have the ability to become much more than a sum of its parts. If you're looking for a game to unleash your own creative designs - Minecraft is for you

Roblox and its strengths

Roblox is much more community driven than Minecraft, having tonnes of unique modes and ways to play the game with friends. It's consistently undergoing new events and experiences and this helps to keep it fresh every month.

You can see some of this creativity in game modes like One Punch Man, Pet Simulator X and Noob Army Tycoon. If you are looking to play something with your friends that is wildly different each time, this is a pretty great choice.

Roblox is fantastic if you like a community and have access to good internet.

Is Minecraft better than Roblox?

This is a bit of a hard question to answer as both games give very unique experiences. Minecraft is pretty great both solo and multiplayer and so is Roblox but the way that these work is unique. The things you like will be different.

Minecraft is fantastic if you want a huge sandbox to exist in and to control as you see fit. It's expansive and has so much depth that you will never run out of mines to plunder and chests to loot. This being said, it can get a little repetitive if you play it too often or don't have long term goals like defeating the Ender Dragon.

Roblox, on the other hand, is loaded with so many user-made experiences that it gets hard to run out of new ideas. This being said, you don't have as much of a say over your game experiences and a few bad modes could really ruin your mood.

Where minecraft is more consistent, Roblox has the potential to be much bigger. Perhaps, instread of worrying over the decision, you can sit comfortable knowing that both experiences are worthwhile. You can even give Minecraft a try for free right now.
