WHEN - Season 6 isn't too far away, now
Treyarch hasn't confirmed when Black Ops Cold War's next season of content is due to start - although, we can hazard a guess at the Season 6 start date by looking at the current Battle Pass and when it's due to expire.
As long as there aren't any delays, we should see Black Ops Cold War's next season of content release on October 6th. Looking at Treyarch's previous updates, we can also make an estimate of the specific time the content should go live in-game.
Here's what we reckon:
- 21:00 PST - on release day;
- 23:00 EST - on release day;
- 04:00 BST - on the day after release day;
Timezones can make dates a little confusing, but we should know more about the specifics in a few days. Treyarch has confirmed that they're going to start releasing solid information about the next round-based Zombies map this week...
WHAT - We're finally getting Zombies DLC 4
You may have already clocked it, but we're going to be getting DLC 4 for Black Ops Cold War's Zombies in Season 6! As it's the last season of Black Ops Cold War content before Vanguard's release, there's really not a lot of time left.
The Dark Aether Storyline is going to continue with Vanguard's Zombies, but Black Ops Cold War's Zombies needs to tie up a few loose ends first. We don't know exactly what's going to be coming in DLC 4 - yet, anyway - but it's going to be exciting.
In addition to this, Mason is all but confirmed as the Season 6 Battle Pass Operator. He's finally been mentioned by name in post-launch content - you can check out the Season 5 Outro Cinematic below - and leakers are suggesting that he's going to feature on the Season 6 key art.
Only time will tell if this is accurate, but we're pretty certain Alex Mason is coming. Treyarch is running out of time, right?
Season 6 Cinematic shows off new content
Treyarch has finally released their Season 6 Cinematic Trailer - Although it looks like it's mainly focused on Black Ops Cold War's post-launch narrative and its relation to Warzone, there are a few things we can learn ahead of an official content roadmap for Black Ops Cold War.
Firstly, it confirms the start date for Season 6 in both Black Ops Cold War and Warzone. We were right and Season 6 is due to start on October 7th. You can see more about that below, though...
In addition to this, it confirms Mason as the Battle Pass Operator - as he's front and centre in the Season 6 Key Art - alongside new appearances for Woods and Adler. We should get a detailed look at what's coming, including information about any new weapons, within the next few days.
