Black Ops Cold War is coming to the end of its lifetime and the final seasonal update is here - Season 6 promises to be one worth playing though and you know what they say: the final DLC is always the best. Well... For Call of Duty titles, anyway. It's almost like a curse! Here's the latest on Season 6 and what's still to come...
FORSAKEN EASTER EGG- It's almost here
Forsaken, the new round-based Zombies map, is out right now but the Main Quest is still locked. This isn't anything unusual - Cold War Zombies' Main Quest Easter Eggs are always locked for around 12 hours after launch - but it is a little annoying. We just want to start looking!
Thankfully, there isn't too long to wait. You can jump into Forsaken and start hunting the latest Easter Egg at the following times:
- 10:00 October 7th PST
- 13:00 October 7th EST
- 18:00 October 7th BST
At the times above, we're expecting a minor update to go live for Black Ops Cold War. This shouldn't need a separate download though - it'll be an "update requires restart" situation.
Requiem and Omega Group are going toe-to-toe against the Dark Aether and The Forsaken - it's going to be an epic finale, that's for sure.
PLAYLIST CHANGES - New game modes are coming
There's going to be three new Multiplayer maps added to Black Ops Cold War alongside the new Zombies map - Forsaken. This means, as expected, we're getting a Playlist Update on October 7th. Here's what's new...

This should be live when Season 6 starts - but, if not, it will be available by 10:00 PST / 13:00 EST / 18:00 BST on October 7th.
RELEASE TIME - When does Season 6 come out?
Black Ops Cold War Season 6 is just over a day away, now, and Treyarch has revealed that the update is scheduled to go live at the following times:
- 21:00 October 6th - PST
- 23:00 October 6th - EST
- 04:00 October 7th - BST
In addition to this, you should be able to preload the Season 6 update from the following times:
- 21:00 October 5th - PST
- 23:00 October 5th - EST
- 04:00 October 6th - BST
This won't install until Season 6 starts, but it should save you a lot of time if you want to jump into the new content as soon as possible. We currently don't know how large the Season 6 update will be, but it's expected to be a little larger than the previous major title update due to the new Zombies content being included. FORSAKEN - The new Zombies experience
Black Ops Cold War's Season 6 update is introducing another round-based Zombies map to the game - this is going to be the final entry into this chapter of the Dark Aether Storyline, but not the end of the narrative.
Forsaken takes place in Anytown, USA, the fictional American Town that features in the campaign mission "Redlight, Greenlight". There's going to be a new Wonder Weapon - the Chrysalax - and a new Perk-a-Cola - PhD Slider - included in this update.
Furthermore, Hand Cannon and ARC-XD are both being added as craftable Support Weapons. These, the new Wonder Weapon, and the new Perk will be available on every other Black Ops Cold War Zombies map and in Outbreak.
We could also see more Zombies content added in Season 6 Reloaded, but this might be the last of it for Black Ops Cold War.

We don't have anything in the way of actual Patch Notes just yet, but Treyarch should reveal these within the next 24 hours - ahead of the release of Black Ops Cold War.
