WWE 2K23 MyGM
MyGM mode returned in WWE 2K22 after many years of requests from fans and players.
The mode proved hugely popular but left plenty of room for improvement.
WWE 2K23 is set to bring those vast improvements, with 2K Games set to reveal some new features in the coming days.
New Features Confirmed
2K Games are building up to the release of WWE 2K23 by revealing some of the brand-new and exciting features that will arrive in this year's game.
MyGM now has its turn in the spotlight, with a host of new additions certain to take this mode to the next level.
New GMs
5 new General Managers have been added to MyGM mode this year, giving you more choices than ever and taking the total number of general managers to 9.
Xavier Woods, Tyler Breeze, Eric Bischoff, Mick Foley and Kurt Angle have all been added to the mode, with these stars certain to help take this mode to the next level.
New Matches
Not only are we seeing new GMs, but we're also seeing a host of new match types added into MyGM mode, with parity attempting to be restored with the rest of the game.
Seven new match types have been added to the mode, taking the total number to 12. They are:
- Steel Cage Matches
- Submission
- Backstage Brawls
- Tornado Tag
- Iron Man
- Last Man Standing
- Falls Count Anywhere
New Brands
The expansion doesn't stop there, with new brands also confirmed to arrive in WWE 2K23.
The arrival of NXT 2.0 is sure to bring a smile to many players' faces, but it's the announcement of WCW returning to the mode that will set the nostalgia alarms off for many.
These two new brands will take the total manageable brands to five.
New Ways to Play
On top of all the new aesthetic additions to the mode, there are also whole new ways to enjoy MyGM mode in WWE 2K23.
Seasons are now unlimited, meaning your brand can keep fighting for many, many years.
Along that journey, you will be encouraged to achieve trophies that will - eventually - see you inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame.
Shake Ups, Slammie Awards and other dramatic scenarios ensure that your GM mode save never becomes boring, with constant new challenges set upon you as you progress.
The return of GM Mode
It's been over a decade since GM Mode graced the SmackDown vs. Raw era of the WWE gaming franchise, and in previous year it'd never seen the light of day since 2K took over the series.
That's finally changing, as WWE 2K22 MyGM has revitalized the beloved game mode of the past, something that was first confirmed in the WWE 2K22 feature reveal trailer.
The best look at the game mode in action came via the MyGM Deep Dive in the second WWE 2K22 Ringside Report, and you can watch that below:
We had the opportunity to test an early build of MyGM in the weeks prior to launch, and that first impression left us hopeful that this simplified version could still deliver.
