Fortnite Season 7 is officially over and the community is all aboard the hype train. We now know about how Epic plan to close out the season and it's got us all the more hyped for Season 8. Perhaps you need a recap on Season 7's story?
The end of season event is over and we're left with so many questions! In just a few hours we'll be one step closer to knowing what's next for Fortnite.
Latest - The Cubes Return! Season 8 Start Time
After the thrilling Operation Sky Fire concluded, we now know that Season 8 is set to begin around 10:00 BST / 05:00 EST / 02:00 PST.
The final short of the event saw mutiple cubes crashing into the map before the alien mothership blew up and debris collided with the player. We cant wait to see what is revealed when Season 8 begins!
The Foundation Teased
We may be seeing the return of The Foundation in Fortnite Season 8. During the opening video for the PlayStation Showcase, posters can clearly be seen with The Foundation on them.
Given the timing of everything, it's far too much to be a coincidence. Donald Mustard has already teased the return og the character and it appears to be coming sooner rather than later.
Extended Server Downtime coming
It appears that extender server downtime is on the way following the Operation Sky Fire event. Like in previous events, the servers would be down as soon as the event is over.
This downtime would last through to the Season 8 update time which will be either early Monday or Tuesday morning.

Fortnite End of Season event confirmed
We recently got confirmation that Operation Sky Fire will be how we close out Fortnite Season 7. This live event will change things up from previous showings as it will be fully interactive.
This allows you to feel like a much bigger part of the story overall. It's set to take place on the final day of Season 7 which is Sunday, 12 September.
Fortnite Season 7 End Date
Fortnite Season 7 began on 8 June and was expected to last for three months. Previous seasons of the game, as well as the current Battle Pass, does allow us to look into when it will end. Doing the math, Fortnite Season 7 is due to end on Sunday, 12 September.
Having this in mind, also means that the upcoming season will be starting on the same day. Hopefully, it will proceed as planned. Season 8 should begin on Tuesday, 14 September.
Fortnite Season 7 Invasion
Season 7 or Invasion introduces a mysterious alien army that invades the island. Under Doctor Sloane, the Imagined Order or IO has decided to fight back. Battle amid the chaos, meet new characters who are open to the invasion or are just going with the flow. Keep your eyes on the prize; the island's fate is at stake.
It also allows its players to customize a Kymera outfit through the Battle Pass. This alien specimen is free to sculpt any way you please.
With Invasion, players are to collect alien artifacts to claim more styles for Kymera. You are free to mix and match various eye colours, head shapes, skin patterns, and more--yes, you can create your own alien.
LeBron James
Meanwhile, sports fans can now play as The King, Lebron James in Fortnite Season 7, as he makes his appearance as a playable character in the game. This coincides with the release of the movie, Space Jam: A New Legacy.
