Roadmap
The full roadmap for Warzone Season 4 was revealed by Treyarch and Raven on June 14. You can check out the image below.
It includes information on the map changes, new weapons, Operators, and interesting new features, all of which we'll go into more detail on below.
Map Changes
Satellite Crash Sites
The main map change that's coming to Verdansk '84 is the new Satellite Crash Sites.
Where exactly they'll be and how many you'll be able to find, we're not quite sure yet, but we'll update you as soon as Season 4 begins.
From the reveal trailer, it seems like one has crashed in the storm drain between Downtown and Promenade. We'll see it it's there once the update is live.
Red Doors
Red Doors have been rumoured for a few seasons now and they're finally coming in Season 4. Below is the official intel on them:
"Our intel cannot explain the origin of these mysterious red doors around Verdansk, but one thing is certain: They allow you to [[REDACTED]] around the [[REDACTED]]. What’s behind them? Explore and enter them to [[REDACTED]] across the [[REDACTED]].
Red Doors won’t [[REDACTED]] unless you ping them, and after you step through, there’s no telling [[REDACTED]] exiting out the other side… and stepping into a [[REDACTED]]."
As you can see, that description isn't very helpful. However, we know for sure that Red Doors will be a new fast travel system of sorts, with going through one transporting you to another part of Verdansk.
It's not clear quite yet how prevalent they will be on the map from the start of Season 4.
New Weapons & How to Get Them
Five new weapons in total are coming to Warzone in Season 4, with three of those arriving from the day the Season begins. They are:
MG 82: LMG (Launch)
This is a, "Full-auto light machine gun. Highest fire rate in class with improved aiming speed. Moderate recoil and damage with increased ammo capacity."
You get the MG 82 in Warzone by hitting tier 15 of the Season 4 Battle Pass.
C58: Assault Rifle (Launch)
This is a, "Full-auto assault rifle. High damage at close range with a slower fire rate. Fast bullet velocity and reliable recoil control with less ammo capacity."
You get the C58 in Warzone by hitting tier 31 of the Season 4 Battle Pass.
Nail Gun: Special/SMG (BOCW/WZ) (Launch)
The official description reads" Time to get to work with this fully automatic Nail Gun, a 1980s precursor to the variant seen in the futuristic Black Ops III.
This slow-firing, highly mobile power tool uses compressed air to launch fast-moving projectiles that deal high damage at close range.
Expect to put a nail (or three) in your competition’s coffin after three successful hits within a few meters in Multiplayer — or more if the engagement stretches out to distances where you may need to lead shots for success."
It's not clear how you unlock the Nail Gun quite yet - it will probably be via a bundle in the CoD Store, however.
The OTs 9 SMG and Mace Melee weapons will also come during Season 4, presumably between launch date and the mid-season update in a few weeks.
In-Game Event
Another exciting thing that has been confirmed is the next Warzone in-game event.
This one is called Ground Fall and will see you "find and secure SAT-Links to score exclusive rewards for your global profile across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone."
The exact details are still to be figured out, but it will likely start at the same time as Season 4 and work a lot like the 80s Action Heroes Event from a month or two ago.
