The Season 4 update for Call of Duty is just hours away and there's a lot to talk about when it comes to the Operators. After adding in John Rambo and John McClane, it looks like Treyarch is headed back to their in-house universe for the next season. Here's what we know going into the update.
LATEST - New Operator Skins Revealed
There's a lot out there that still remains a mystery, but there's also a lot out there that we do know. Following a discussion on the upcoming Battle Pass, Treyarch has shared new information about some of the new Operator skins we're going to be getting.
"Boarding Party" - Adler Operator Skin
"Assassin" - Portnova Operator Skin
"Iridescent" - Jackal Operator Skin (Ultra-Rarity Reactive)
Additional Skins
There might only be three skins we've got names for, but the Season 4 imagery teases a lot more to come. We don't know for sure who these Operator skins are for, so we'll refrain from making too many guesses, but they all look quite good.
New Operators Confirmed
Following the reveal of the Season 4 content roadmap, we now know about the three new Operators coming in the first half of Season 4.
Jackal - Warsaw Pact
" A brutal mercenary leader, Jackal has ground his competition into the dirt, recruiting only the strongest survivors into his company. Hated and feared, he works for the highest bidder, and Perseus has very deep pockets..."
Jackal will be available at Tier 0 in the Season 4 Battle Pass, with an Ultra-Rarity Skin available at Tier 100.
Salah - NATO
" A member of Egypt’s elite Unit 777 formed following the expulsion of the Soviets, Salah is a Counterterrorism and Hostage Rescue expert. Always positive and quick to see the best in people, he will always have your back."
Salah will be available in-season via Item Store Operator Bundle.
Weaver - NATO
" Born in the USSR and raised in America, CIA Clandestine Service Officer Grigori Weaver straddles both sides of the Cold War divide. With this Operator Skin based on his original Black Ops incarnation, Weaver’s dedication compels him to return to duty even after the recent loss of his left eye."
Weaver is going to be available in-season via Item Store Operator Bundle.
First Look At Mysterious New Operators
Johanna Faries, GM of Call of Duty, has just shared a new Season 4 Gameplay Trailer with the world and it shows us quite a lot of footage containing a mysterious new Operator. We don't know much about who this guy is, but he's wearing a mask which obviously adds to the fear factor.
The footage, which you can see below, was first broadcast during the Summer Game Fest "Kickoff Live!" stream and it has been confirmed that we'll be seeing more on June 14th.
Season 4 is due to arrive on June 17th, so you'll be able to get your hands on the new Operator next week. In the meantime, you can check out this teaser cinematic below:
