Warzone & Black Ops Cold War Playlist Update for July 29

It is Thursday, July 29 which means it is time for a Playlist Update in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War.

We're still a couple of weeks away from the start of Season 5, which should see some more significant changes, but today will at least be a little different.

Warzone & Black Ops Cold War Playlist Update - July 29

The details of the Warzone and Black Ops Cold War Playlist Update will be revealed by Treyarch and Raven at 6pm BST/1pm ET this afternoon, when it goes live.

They'll explain which modes are leaving the playlist and which modes are replacing them.

Last week, the following modes came to Black Ops Cold War

  • Paintball Moshpit
  • Throwback Moshpit (featuring Rush)
  • 12v12 Moshpit returns

On top of those, Payload finally joined the Warzone playlist, having been revealed when the Season 4 Reloaded update dropped.

How long it's going to be in the game, we're not really sure, but we'd imagine it to be until the end of the season. Therefore, it should remain in the playlist when the playlist update releases today.

However, since we're still awaiting official news on the playlist update for July 29, we don't know for sure yet.

We will be sure to update this piece with all the details once they're revealed, so check back with us later on.

Patch Notes

While nothing has been revealed yet, we may also see some patch notes released for one of both of the games at the same time as the playlist update.

Warzone is probably the most likely to receive some changes, but with Season 5 being so close, any patch notes are likely to be pretty minor, just as they were last week.

With new guns and more due to arrive in a couple of weeks, balance changes will likely be kept back until then.
