Warzone 2 is now well underway, and Season 2 is here, along with a ton of new content that will change how the game plays. The new Rebirth map has been revealed, and new weapons have arrived, unlockable via the Battle Pass and new challenges.
The TAQ-V is is the only weapon that can challenge the RPK at range, and has higher damage than any AR. It might not be the easiest to use, but once you can it packs a punch like no other. Here's how we recommend building it.

Best TAQ V Attachments in Warzone 2
The only downside of the TAQ 56's big brother is its recoil, which can be heavily tamed with the right attachments. Here's what we recommend to make this powerhouse weapon the best it can be:
- Muzzle: Polarfire-S | 0.86^
- Optic: Aim-OP V4 | -1.35^ | -1.65>
- Rear Grip: FSS Combat Grip | 0.55^ | -.29>
- Magazine: 50-Round Drum
- Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56 | 0.57^ | -0.23>
Each of these attachments works to keep the recoil of the TAQ-V under control, which is a little tricky in Warzone 2. The 50-Round drum addition however means that you can afford to miss a few shots, as the slower fire rate will take a while to burn through it.
While it will happily shred through enemies at any range, at longer distances we recommend tap firing, or you may find yourself off-target.
Best TAQ V Perks and Equipment
The TAQ-V is a great weapon to buy as a primary from a shop in the early game of Warzone 2. IF you can get your hands on a full loadout though, here's what we recommend to round out your class and be ready for any situation:
- Perk Package: Weapon Specialist
- Tactical: Heartbeat Sensor
- Lethal: Throwing Knife
Take the weapon specialist perk for Overkill, and for your secondary, take something close range, like the Fennec 45, or Lachmann Sub to be covered for all ranges. Take a heartbeat sensor as your tactical, and a throwing knife as a lethal, and you'll be ready for any situation in Warzone 2.
