The Legend of Zelda has gone through a lot of changes over the years. Moving in and out of 3D, changing perspectives and casting the story in a different light, there's a lot to take in. Considered one of the handful of black sheep in the franchise, Skyward Sword is often overlooked as overly simplistic or as having poor controls. The Nintendo Switch rendition is aiming to fix that, only time will tell if that's true.

Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Announcement
Skyward Sword was announced just months ago on February 17th over on Nintendo's Youtube channel. The trailer shows a vibrant sky only for Loftwings to appear. These were heavily featured in the game back on the Wii so an observant fan could piece together the trailer from this alone.
Some important features it showed off were improved visuals and much better handling. The Wii wasn't all that precise and even the special new Wii remote designed for the original Skyward Sword wasn't quite accurate enough to capture its better moments. You can even get a special new pair of Joy-Cons in celebration
Release Date
Skyward Sword officially releases tomorrow on Friday, July 16th. You can preorder the game right now ahead of launch.
Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD Switch Release Time

File Download Size
