However, the most interesting addition might be the MyGM Offseason Scenarios.
If you're an NBA fan like me, there's always a lull going into the next season, but there's always talk of offseason trades, drafts, and a lot of teams blowing up their roster for a rebuild. Could you imagine if the Warriors, for some reason, traded for the number 1 pick and got Cooper Flagg? Or how about getting LeBron James along with Curry? NBA 2K26 features those and many other unique scenarios.

MyGM Offseason Scenarios Will Bring You The Best GM Experience
One of the best features of NBA 2K26 is MyGM's Offseason Scenarios, as 2K is no longer settling for generic "build the team" objectives. There are now 30 unique MyGM scenarios set in the 2025 offseason.
The scenarios will utilize a real-life draft lottery order, in which you'll have to take on tasks ranging from picking up draft picks and landing free agents to winning it all. For example, if you're the Mavs, would you use that lottery pick on Cooper Flagg and build a new powerhouse with AD and Kyrie, or would you package that pick and get some more veteran help?
These aren't just some goals that the game makes you do, but they're actual decisions that real franchises are grappling with. Are you going to be the next Nico of the Mavs and just be lucky with the first pick, or are you going to take the Brad Stevens route and shake up a championship core to get below the luxury tax? These are all questions that you're going to have to answer in this year's MyGM Offseason Scenarios.
Playoffs Online Lets You Open Your Own Tournaments
The second-best thing in NBA 2K26 is Playoffs Online. This is, hands down, one of the features that will make online play a lot more fun. You can now create a 16-team playoff bracket, invite up to 15 friends or randoms, and jump straight into the postseason.
You and 15 others will be responsible for each seeding and matchups, so you can go crazy and achieve your dream playoff scenario. But the best part of this new feature is that, since this is the playoffs, it's possible to host small tournaments that can be finished in just a few sessions. It's perfect for content creators, groups of friends, or just about anyone who loves to experience the competitive scene.
MyPlayer DNA Will Let You Play Against Any Era
There's always talk of a "what if" over how each player will do in another era, and there are always debates on whether the Warriors' 73-win team can beat Jordan's Bulls as the best team in NBA history or if LeBron and AD's Lakers can beat the dynastic Kobe and Shaq duo.
Now, with MyPlayer DNA, you can influence the outcomes of those "what ifs" by being able to import your MyCareer player into any MyNBA era, along with your full appearance, animations, attributes, and badges. If you're wondering how your Point Guard will do against Isaiah Thomas and the Bad Boy Pistons? Well, now you can.
The possibilities here are simply endless, although we've yet to see if rules will also change per era, such as Jordan's hand-checking era, or if everything would follow the same rules as today's basketball.
After years of getting minimal updates, at least MyNBA is finally getting the attention it deserves. Getting to play in different eras alone is a game-changer, let alone being able to host your own tournament online. Add in the all-new MyGM, faster sim times, and we're at least getting some light in years of traversing a dark tunnel.
