Rocket League Season 9 is now just around the corner, with tons of new content and a brand new theme planned. Season 8 saw the Sovereign Krew take over, and more recently the Nike FC Cup gave us a chance to earn some exclusive rewards for the World Cup.
A new Rocket Pass is just the beginning of what we can expect from the new season, as it will span the Christmas period and offer tons of chances for exclusive items. Here's everything you need to know before Season 9 drops.

Rocket League Season 9 Release Time
Rocket League Season 9
Season 9 will drop at 4 pm GTM, or 8 am PST on December the 7th, after a short downtime for server maintenance. Season 8 will close several hours before, but there's still time to earn some exclusive rewards from the Rocket Pass before then.
As the holidays and the new year approach, expect another round of the frosty fest event in Rocket League, with challenges and rewards to be earned. This will span until the new year, so there's plenty of time to get in on the festivities.
The Fire and Ice theme is by far one of the best-looking we've seen in a while, so if there was a season to buy the premium Rocket Pass it's this one. If you're able to level it up towards the pro rewards after tier 70, you're in for a real treat.
What to expect from Season 9
Expect Frosty Fest to lead into a Neon Nights event in the new year, and both to have a host of in-game challenges to complete. These are some of the best annual Rocket League events in terms of rewards, so don't miss out as they'll be hard to come by otherwise.
A brand new car and 4 new variants will also be available in the Rocket Pass, as well as tons of items to customise with. This will be one of the most stacked premium tiers we've seen in some time, so if you're looking to make the most of your credits now is the time.
