Rocket League has just announced that they're partnering with BMW to bring the brand-new BMW M240i to Rocket League before it's even available to consumers in the real world! We can't believe a car is going to make its debut in Rocket League before reality, but the collaboration between Psyonix and BMW is a lucrative one.

Here's everything you need to know about the new BMW DLC, the sponsorship of the next Rocket League Open, and more.

NEW CAR - BMW M240i to debut in Rocket League

Rocket League's BMW M240i is going to be available in the Item Shop from November 4th for 1100 Credits.

You'll be able to get the following items in the bundle:

  • BMW M240i Vehicle
  • BMW M240i Wheels
  • Thundernight Metallic Decal
  • United In Rivalry Animated Decal
  • Bavarian Hat Topper
  • BMW Player Banner

UNITED IN RIVALRY - An interesting Animated Decal, that's for sure

As always, the BMW M240i itself won't be customisable with anything other than the specific cosmetics. Interestingly, though, this car is going to be available in Rocket League before it's even available in real life!

This is a huge step for Rocket League and should usher in a new age of debuts and exciting new content for the future. With collaborations at the heart of Rocket League's content now, we could see a lot more make its debut through Rocket League in the future.

BMW Rocket League Open - What we know so far

In addition to the M240i's debut, BMW is also sponsoring the next regional tournament in the RLCS 2021-22 European Circuit - the BMW Rocket League Open.

Taking place between November 5th and November 7th, this is going to be a battle between Europe's best RLCS teams alongside a freestyle tournament with a $25,000 prize pool! You can check it all out on Twitch.

It's a huge step forwards - again - for Rocket League's competitive scene and it could mark the start of more sponsored events in the future.
