RELEASE DATE - When does Y6S4 actually start?
The Operation High Calibre update has been available on the Siege Test Servers for some time now and now it looks like the Y6S4 update is going to be released on November 30th. Thorn is going to be available on Day One alongside the High Calibre Battle Pass and a new set of major updates.
Outback is being reworked alongside Finka's Adrenal Surge, both Drone and Camera gadgets, and the way Elite Cosmetics work. There's also going to be a few tweaks to the current HUD set-up and design. This should improve its functionality going forwards.
Siege is going to feel fresh following the Y6S4 update and we're expecting an updated set of Release Notes and a confirmed update time soon.
FULL REVEAL - When do we find out more?
Rainbow Six Siege's seasons are roughly three months long - nowadays, there's four in a year and High Calibre is Season Four in Year Six (hence Y6S4). With this in mind, looking at the start date of Operation Crystal Guard, we have a rough estimate of when Operation High Calibre should start...
We're expecting the next season of content to drop between November 30th and December 7th.
At the moment, we only know about Thorn - the newest Siege Operator. However, that's about to change too.
Ubisoft is mere hours away from the full reveal of Operation High Calibre - something that should confirm the start date if we're lucky.
Expect to learn more about Thorn - her unique loadout and ability, most notably - alongside more information about the major changes coming to Siege in Y6S4 at the following times:
- 10:00 November 8th PST
- 13:00 November 8th EST
- 18:00 November 8th GMT
We know Outback is rumoured to be the next map getting a major overhaul and we're expecting to see some Designer's Notes at some point in the pre-season... Today, though... Today is probably going to be a trailer with a few comments and an over-arching blog post. Don't expect too many specifics just yet.
Who's getting a nerf and who's getting a buff? Will Nokk's rework finally be released? Only time will tell. Well... the Ubisoft team behind Rainbow Six Siege will tell us - eventually. We hope.
