LOADOUT - Full equipment set-up revealed
Looking for an update on Thorn's loadout? Here's everything she's dropping in with.
Primary Weapon: UZK50GI / M870
The UZK50GI is the new weapon - a custom-made SMG designed by Ubisoft. This is a small SMG that chambers .50 Calibre rounds - this means it has quite a slow fire rate for an SMG, but it packs a punch.
Secondary Weapon: 1911 TACOPS / C75-Auto
Gadgets: Barbed Wire / Deployable Shield
Unique Gadget: Razorbloom Shell
Thorn's Razorbloom Shell is a proximity mine with a delayed trigger that forces Attackers into panicked rushes or cautious retreat when they walk into its area. Ubisoft has aimed to give players more agency with combatting Defenders gadgets
Thorn is a 2-Armour, 2-Speed Defender - which should make her quite adaptable even without the Unique Gadget.
Thorn Revealed as Next Rainbow Six Operator
Thorn will be a Defender added as part of the High Calibre update (Year 6, Season 4). The new update arrives in December but there is no specific date at the time of writing.
Her gadget is Razerbloom Shell which is a sticky proximity grenade that explodes into multiple smaller projectiles. She will also come with a brand new SMG, the MK2. Thorn is the first new operator since Osa was added as part of Crystal Guard back in September.
The following is taken directly from the Ubisoft website where they've added some detail around the Thorn reveal;
“She’s a dedicated woman, stubborn, doesn’t take anyone’s rubbish. We have a solid team, but Brianna’s bound to round it out perfectly. You never have to worry about her being on top of her game, and if we’re lucky, she’ll kick a few of us in the backside for motivation.
“I’ll spare you the stories, she can tell you those herself if she wants to. She’s already told Mira, judging from that insane contraption she designed for her. Territorial is one way to put it – walking into its warning zone is like a cactus kindly telling you that you’re about to step on it barefoot. It’s no less terrifying, but at least you get to adjust. It’s sharp, bright, and beautifully crafted.”
