Rainbow Six Siege is finally going to debut its new Elite Skin customisation system and we can't wait to mix and match all the cosmetics on offer - we have all the details below. Operation High Calibre isn't going to be a great update because of that, though, there's so much more on offer and this is everything you need to know about when it's going to drop.
When does the new system come out?
At the moment, we're under the impression that the Elite 2.0 Customisation system is going to be implemented in the Operation High Calibre update on November 30th at the following times:
- PC (Steam, Uplay, Luna, Stadia)
- 06:00 PST / 09:00 EST / 14:00 GMT
- Xbox (One, Series X|S)
- 07:00 PST / 10:00 EST / 15:00 GMT
- PlayStation (4, 5)
- 08:00 PST / 11:00 EST / 16:00 GMT
The update itself is also expected to take up the following storage space:
- Steam - 4.8GB
- Uplay - 5.4GB
- Xbox One - 4.1GB
- Xbox Series X|S - 4.3GB
- PlayStation 4 - 4.4GB
- PlayStation 5 - 4.1GB
ELITE 2.0 - A Customization Upgrade
Rainbow Six Siege's Elite 2.0 Customization features have been common knowledge for a while now, but they're finally going to be added to the game.
This Elite 2.0 Customization will allow players to pick and choose their Operator's Headgear, Uniform, Operator Portrait, Card Background and Victory Celebration. These options are no longer tied to an Elite skin set.
These options might seem minor, but you'll see them during every Operator Selection sequence and during player eliminations. So... You might find that you're spotting these alterations more frequently than you realise once the changes are implemented. At the moment, this should be sometime between November 30th and December 7th - this is the week Operation Crystal Guard should end based on previous seasons and their average duration.
Earlier this week, Ubisoft fully revealed Operation High Calibre and the changes coming to Siege in Y6S4. You can check all of that out below in the Reveal video:
There's going to be a new Operator to contend with - Thorn - and Outback is getting a major overhaul in the Y6S4 update. In addition to this, Finka's Adrenal Surge is being reworked alongside major changes to how Camera Gadgets and Drone Gadgets work.
Ubisoft has put a lot of effort into accessibility during this update, too. We should learn more about the specifics in the coming weeks - the Y6S4 Designer's Notes will also detail any other minor Operator Changes.
