NBA 2K23 gameplay needs to make these four key changes

We're not far away from August which means the NBA 2K23 gameplay footage will finally be revealed.

Before that, there are some things that we'd like to see changed when the game is finally launched. Hopefully, a few of our ideas will make it into the game.

Here are four key changes we'd like to see in NBA 2K23.

Four changes to NBA 2K23 gameplay

Although we don't know much about the NBA 2K23 gameplay so far, we've heard a few things including some potential leaks.

Our main concern this year is the speed of the game which is reported to be much slower. This will make for a much more competitive and realistic game.

We're sure that plenty of players have an idea of what they'd like to see from the NBA 2K23 gameplay and we've already heard several opinions on the new shot meter.

However, these are a few of the things we'd like to see changed:

• Slowed speed of the game to allow more realism:
  • One big problem of NBA 2K22 was that you could easily speed past defenders. Although this is something that's possible in the NBA there should be stamina penalties involved.
• Boosted AI defense:
  • A great way to make the NBA 2K23 gameplay even more realistic is by boosting the AI's defense. This way you won't have to constantly worry about clicking onto defenders.
• No more dribble spam:
  • If dribble spam is eliminated in NBA 2K23 we'll definitely be happier with the game. This was something that was slightly patched in NBA 2K22 but wasn't completely fixed.
• Side-to-Side Shooting glitch:
  • NBA 2K recently promoted gameplay from the NBA 2K22 League that featured several players doing the same side-to-side motion and then shooting and scoring. This is something that definitely has to go when the NBA 2K23 gameplay is revealed.

August content schedule for NBA 2K23

Our first look at the NBA 2K23 gameplay will be during the content reveals in August. Slated first to be revealed is a gameplay deep dive.

From there we'll see more reveals surrounding MyTEAM and MyCAREER which could reveal what play in The City will look like as well.

Considering we haven't seen much surrounding the game other than the editions, prices, and pre order rewards the August reveal will definitely shine light on the game.

NBA 2K23 Release Date

The release date for NBA 2K23 is slated for September 9, 2022, but unfortunately, there won't be any early access for the game.
