You might've been playing NBA 2K22 for a while now and maybe you have all the NBA 2K22 Shooting Badges figured out.
However, if you haven't noticed, some of the Shooting Badges in NBA 2K22 have changed in power, especially on current gen. This jumbled up the best ones to have equipped on your MyPLAYER.
Let's take a look at all the best NBA 2K22 Shooting Badges for Current Gen.
Best NBA 2K22 Shooting Badges: Current Gen
For NBA 2K22 current gen players, building a MyPLAYER to be competitive can be slightly challenging, especially if you don't have the right Badges.
This time, we'll be covering the NBA 2K22 Shooting Badges that will most help your MyPLAYER be successful in every game mode available.
We're going to itemize these by importance, but you need to be sure that this will fit your NBA 2K22 build as well. If you're looking for which builds to use on current gen, we have a list for you right here.
Let's get started with our first NBA 2K22 Shooting Badge, Blinders.
Blinders
Blinders is quite the interesting Shooting Badge in NBA 2K22, it was patched because it worked too well, but it's definitely still worth it, provided you have it at Hall of Fame.
This table should help you understand the post-patch changes to Blinders:
Pre Patch Boost | Post Patch Boost | Difference |
---|---|---|
+12% | +9.5% | -2.5% |
+10.5% | +10.5% | 0% |
+14% | +14% | 0% |
+19.5% | +17% | -2.5% |
+18% | +13% | -5% |
+9% | +7.5% | -1.5% |
Here is the description for Blinders:
"Blinders allows jump shots taken with a defender closing out in their peripheral vision will suffer a lower penalty."
This Badge works exceptionally well if you take a lot of corner shots as a shooting guard. It also works well if you get open off of a screen. That way when the defender closes out you'll have a better chance of making your shot. However, this is an S-Tier Badge only if you level it up to HOF.
Mismatch Expert
This NBA 2K22 Shooting Badge is great for smaller players and goes perfectly with the Playmaking Shot Creator build. This is also another Badge that was patched during an NBA 2K22 update.
The description for Mismatch Expert is as follows:
"After forcing the switch, a player with Mismatch badge will have more success when shooting over the taller defender."
It's important to note that to be eligible for this Shooting Badge, your MyPLAYER will need to be under 6'4", but what you sacrifice in height, you'll make up for in shooting prowess. You'll also want to level up this Badge as much as you can, Gold or Hall of Fame would be best.
Sniper
In our opinion, Sniper is the best NBA 2K22 Shooting Badge you can equip to your MyPLAYER for current gen and next gen. It's a universal boost to your shot regardless of the Badge level.
Here is the description for the Sniper Shooting Badge:
"Sniper allows jump shots taken with slight early/late timing to receive a boost, while early or late shots will receive a bigger penalty."
The key here is to get consistent with slightly early/slightly late shots. You can use the right Jump Shot Animation to help with this in NBA 2K22.
You can use Sniper at Bronze or level it all the way up to Hall of Fame. Each badge level is about a 3-5% increase in make. Perfect for beginners or a seasoned NBA 2K22 MyPLAYER
