Modern Warfare 2 is now well underway, and Season 2 is already on the horizon, with a ton of new content on the way. New weapons are just the beginning, as a new rebirth map is rumoured to be dropping, after months of waiting.
Highrise is one of the most iconic maps of the Modern Warfare series and sits in the hall of fame as the dream map of any trickshotter. Here's everything we know so far about if it will be making a return in the latest Call of Duty, and when it might drop in-game.

Is Highrise coming to MW2?
Fortunately, we have a petty good idea that Highrise will be returning as a map for Modern Warfare 2. Along with other classic maps, the setting can be found in Warzone 2.0 in Al Mazrah, so much of the groundwork is already there.
Located between the two skyscrapers in the heart of Al Mazrah city, the setting bears a remarkable resemblance to the original. We are missing the iconic crane as of yet, but don't expect this to be the last word on Highrise.
We expect a highrise remastered map to drop sometime in Modern Warfare 2's run, but whether this will be with a later season will have to wait and see. It could drop towards the end of the year with the rumoured addition of all original MW2 maps.
Why was Highrise so popular?
Whether you loved the hectic domination games, or the ability to trickshot like never before, Highrise had something for everyone. It has seen several revivals over the years, and for good reason.
With the move towards fast-paced fan-favourite maps like Shoot House, and Shipment being added to multiplayer, Highrise would be a perfect addition. Only time will tell when it will finally drop in Modern Warfare 2 however.
