Kena: Bridge Of Spirits Delayed
It was announced that Kena: Bridge Of Spirits would receive a small delay, pushing it back to Tuesday, September 21st.
In the announcement made on Twitter, Ember Lab confirmed the delay and the reason behind it. They needed some additional time to "polish the game across all platforms".
Fans have shown support for the move as it's become natural to understand such delays following the Cyberpunk 2077 catastrophe.
Kena: Bridge Of Spirits Release Date
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is set to release on September 21st, 2021. The game suffered multiple delays this year alone which saw it move around quite a bit. Luckily the current release date is locked in and you'll be able to play the game now.
The game is available to pre-order on the PlayStation Store for just £32.99. This is much cheaper than a standard AAA game, but there is no reason to believe Kena is any less of an experience due to its price.
A Digital Deluxe edition will also be available for £39.99 which comes with some additional content.
Is Kena: Bridge Of Spirits A PlayStation Exclusive?
Kena: Bridge of Spirits is not a PlayStation exclusive but does have time-limited exclusivity for PlayStation consoles at launch. It will eventually come to Xbox consoles (maybe even on Game Pass!)
The game will also launch on the Epic Games Store and be available via GeForce Now. No word on how long the console exclusivity will last, but we suspect it could be anywhere up to one year.
Kena: Bridge Of Spirits Gameplay
Previews for Kena: Bridge of Spirits were made available last month and a portion of gameplay was made available to watch.
From the videos that have since been released, it becomes clear how Kena will play with heavy influences from other titles like Pikmin and The Legend of Zelda. The game has a cinematic feel to it which is also reflected in its incredible art and animation.
The art style has been compared to that of a Pixar film which has garnered a lot of attention from fans of the game. Kena: Bridge of Spirits' studio, Ember Lab, began as an animation studio, so it should be no surprise that this is one of the highlights of the game so far.
