Dying Light 2 is a huge game with two central maps to explore. This leaves a lot of groundwork for our main character. Luckily, if you're looking to head back to Old Villedor or just want to get somewhere quicker, this is what you need to know.
How to get back to Old Villedor in Dying Light 2
The key to getting back to Old Villedor is progressing the story itself. You won't leave the town for a handful of missions and you have to stay in the new area for a few more.
Eventually, you will unlock the fast travel system, allowing you to move back and forth between all unlocked fast travel locations. Don't worry, the fast travel locations in Old Villedor are already unlocked.
Unlocking Fast Travel
Fast Travel in Dying Light 2 works in a pretty unique way. You use the Metro to move back and forth but, first, you have to unlock it. Small train icons will appear on your map and you have to go in there, clear out baddies and activate the UV lights.
Essentially, there are two types of stations but they operate in similar ways. Some will be somewhat lit and have humans in them and others will be dark and filled with zombies. You are much better off exploring at night so the toughest zombies are roaming the streets. You will have to activate a handful of generators first, then turn on the lights. All loot will disappear when you do so but a fresh inhabitor will also spawn in - a decent trade.
If you have the time, this is worth doing as early as possible, so you will spend less time on the ground and have the ability to travel much earlier. By the end of the game, this will likely be your primary form of transport.
