The latest Title Update has officially hit FIFA 23 and EA has outlined the major changes which have been implemented via the official patch notes.
As usual, Title Update #9 will bring us gameplay adjustments and bug fixes but this time EA is set to add a brand-new league to the database too.
On top of this, EA has added a number of new signature celebrations to the game for the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar Jr and Kylian Mbappe.
FIFA players have been going crazy for the new Mbappe celebration on social media but some of you may not know how to actually perform it.
Well, we've got you covered. Take a look at Kylian Mbappe's new signature celebration and find out how you can perform it in FIFA 23 below.
How to do Mbappe's new celebration
Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has rocked a few signature celebrations over the course of his career so far.
The Frenchman's most iconic celebration is of course the crossed arms and hands underneath his armpits pose which we have seen on so many occasions.
Mbappe has also made the knee-slide and salute his own and went viral for the fake crying celebration online, which can also be performed in FIFA 23.
More recently, though, the 24-year-old has made a new celebration famous, as he gets down on one knee in a statue-like pose to mark another goal.
Given this new celebration is a 'signature' one, performing it is extremely simple in FIFA.
If you are on the PS4 or PS5, all you need to do is tap X after you score.
Whereas if you are an Xbox One or Xbox Series X |S user, all you need to do is tap A after you score.
Unlike the other celebrations mentioned, this new addition can only be performed by Mbappe himself. It can, however, be performed across all modes in FIFA 23.
New Explosive meta
Title Update #9 brought us loads of gameplay changes but perhaps the most notable one sees the Explosive AcceleRATE archetype significantly buffed.
For those of you that are unaware, AcceleRATE archetypes are exclusive to next-gen versions of the game and are designed to distinguish between different running styles for players.
AcceleRATE archetypes are split into three categories depending on how fast the players can get off the mark and how long they can maintain a high speed.
This feature is inspired by real-life differences between footballers, where even players with similar speeds can move very differently across the pitch.
The three AcceleRATE archetypes are Controlled, Explosive and Lengthy.
As part of Title Update #9, EA will buff the Explosive AcceleRATE archetype.
EA has stated the following regarding the archetype changes:
"Players with the Explosive AcceleRATE archetype now accelerate slightly faster during the early stages of a requested sprint."
As you can see from the before and after images above, this slight change will have a huge impact on the in-game performance of the players.
So, we could be about to see a shift away from Lengthy cards whilst Explosive players completely dominate the Ultimate Team meta going forward.
