If you didn't know already, EA is set to celebrate the 13th anniversary of Ultimate Team with the FUT Birthday event in FIFA 22.
You can expect loads of new content to be released over the coming weeks, and there is even another Swaps system in place too.
There are also set to be free gifts dished out to the loyal FUT community, so keep an eye out for them at around 1pm ET / 6pm GMT this evening!
What is FUT Birthday?
FUT Birthday is a returning promo that celebrates the anniversary of FIFA Ultimate Team, and will begin on Friday, 4 March.
Each year the event sees fan favourite players given enormous boosts, with cards released into packs, new SBCs, and objectives.
The cards released usually have boosts to skill moves and weak foot as well as the regular attributes, so it offers plenty of new and exciting options.
The event usually runs for two weeks, so expect to see a Team 1 and Team 2 release on each Friday of the promo.
This year we have a FUT Birthday Swaps system, and the full FUT Birthday squad has already been leaked too!
There are some incredible items set to be released into FUT 22, so this could be the biggest and best FUT Birthday promo we have ever seen.
FREE Gifts
If there is one thing that everyone loves it is free stuff! Something for nothing just feels different, and it looks as though EA will be dishing out high-value packs to fans today.
Reliable FIFA 22 Ultimate Team leaker FUT Sheriff tweeted that EA would be handing out 50k (Rare Player Packs) for free.
Rare Player Packs contain 12 Rare Gold players, so these could be a great chance to pack one of the new FUT Birthday players!
The tweet also said that a free FUT Birthday Swaps token will also be gifted to FUT players, a handy bonus at the start of the promo!
How to claim your free packs
It should be as simple as logging into Ultimate Team, whether it is on your console, or the FUT Web & Companion App.
Free items in the past often are already waiting in the store for you to open, but we will likely see a message from EA acknowledging the anniversary of Ultimate Team.
That is what we expect, although EA may well throw in a curveball and surprise us all.
