The Road to the Knockouts promo is one of the most popular promos in the history of the EA FC franchise, and in FC 25 the promo introduced some fantastic cards.
The Road to the Knockouts promo cards can receive great upgrades, such as a rating increase, new PlayStyles, or new roles, making them some of the most sought-after cards in the game.
So let's find out which five Road to the Knockouts cards must have in FC 25.
Best Road to the Knockouts Cards in FC 25
As mentioned above, there are a plethora of great cards from the Road to the Knockouts promo. However, not all the cards will be able to get those fantastic upgrades we mentioned above, which means they will drop in price substantially, and become quickly outdated.
But there are a few Road to the Knockouts cards that have great chances of completing the upgrade path, helping players make a lot of coins, and significantly improving their squad and gameplay in the process.
So let's find out which cards we are talking about.
Cherki - Lyon
Super Saiyan is the best way to describe how Lyon plays in the Europa League. The French team has two wins in two matches, with six goals scored and only one conceded.
They have a fairly easy schedule, with Eintracht Frankfurt being the hardest team they still have to face, and Lyon has the home-field advantage in that game.
So the chances of Lyon being two top in the league phase, and therefore completing the upgrade path, is incredibly high. That's why Cherky is arguably the best Road to the Knockouts card to have.
The card already possesses fantastic attributes, with 81 pace, 85 shooting, 88 dribbling, and 88 passing. If this card receives a two-rating increase, two new roles++, and a new PlayStyle, it might become an end-game card.
At the time of writing, this card costs 257k coins, and there is a great chance it will reach the 500k mark soon.
Watkins - Aston Villa
Aston Villa proved it belonged in Europe's football elite after a great win versus Bayern München.
Villa have been playing some fantastic football this season, and the win versus Bayern makes the English side top two finish in the league phase go from a dream to a real possibility.
When we take a look at Aston Villa's schedule, we can see they are the favorites in most of their upcoming fixtures. Juventus and Leipiz are their two toughest opponents and Monaco can also prove to be a difficult team to beat.
However, Villa faces the Italian giants at home, Leipzig is a very inconsistent team, and while Monaco is a formidable opponent Aston Villa is still favored in that match.
With Aston Villa having great chances of being top two of the league phase, Watkins becomes a must-have card, especially because the card is affordable and already poses fantastic attributes.
At the time of writing, Watkins RTTK card costs 100k coins, and it would be surprising if its price doesn't go up for a substantial amount. Its attributes make it a great card to use, while its potential sale value makes it a great investment.
Malo Gusto - Chelsea
There is no doubt that Chelsea are the favorites to win the Conference League. They are much better than all the teams they're going to face in the league phase, and anything other than a top-two finish would be a surprise and
disappointment.
That's why Malo Gusto is one of the five Road to the Knockouts cards players need to have in FC 25. Gusto RTTK card has some great attributes, with 91 pace, 82 physicality, and 81 defending, which is excellent for a right-back.
It's quite an expensive one, costing 446k coins at the time of writing, but understandably so. This card probably has the highest likelihood of getting all the upgrades and will be an end-game card if that happens. It will become one of the best right-backs in the game, with only Icons or future promo cards matching it.
Moise Kean - Fiorentina
Just like Chelsea, Fiorentina is also among the favorites to win the Conference League. The Italians are the runner-ups of the last two editions of the competition and desperately want to lift the trophy and taste international glory.
That alone would make Moise Kean's RTTK card worth buying, but the fact the card only costs 17k, as five fantastic PlayStyles for a winger, and some great attributes, make it must have.
This card probably won't be an end-game card like Malo Gusto, but can be a fantastic super sub. There is also a great chance players can use this card in a future Evolution.
Havertz - Arsenal
Arsenal is among the favorites for the top two spots in the Champions League, as a part of a match with Inter, they are huge favorites in all of their fixtures.
Arteta's team has proved it can beat the best of the best, even with some key players injured. Because of that, there is a solid chance Arsenal finishes in the top two, and Havertz gets all the Road to the Knockouts upgrades.
The Road to the Knockouts Havertz card is already impressive, with 83 pace, 87 shooting, 86 passing, 89 dribbling, and 78 physicality. It can be played as a striker or advanced midfielder and is elite in both positions.
Players who had the luck to play with him said the card was fantastic, while opponents have nightmares every time they see him on the squad presentation.
This card is quite expensive, costing 619k coins at the time of writing, and it probably won't take long until its price reaches 1 million. If this card gets all the upgrades, it will be among the best strikers and advanced midfielders in the game for a very long time.
Players who have the coins should definitely consider buying this card, especially if they have a Premier League team or a hybrid team with German players.
These are the five must-have Road to the Knockouts Cards, which can help players make millions of coins, and also improve their gameplay in the process.
We hope this article was helpful, and wish players good luck in their FC 25 games.
