Rush was introduced in FC 25 and quickly became one of the most popular modes of the EA Sports FC franchise.
The mode gave players a new way to enjoy the game, with a 5v5 fast-paced gameplay, very similar to a five-a-side match. It's a great mode to play with friends, but can also be enjoyed alone.
However, the mode has recently been plagued with many AFK players, who leave their team at a huge disadvantage and make a fun mode frustrating.
AFK Players are Running the Best Mode in FC 25
Rush has arguably been the best addition to Ultimate Team in a decade. It provides players with a new way to experience the mode, either alone or with friends, which makes it unique.
Furthermore, the mode is quite fun, while also having a competitive feeling to it, but not to the point of leaving people angry, as Rivals or Fut Champions can do.
But as it happens in many cases, the UT community it's his own worst enemy. Many players have recently entered into a game of Rush, just to find themselves playing 2v4 after two or three minutes.
Players quit after being 1-0 down, if their teammates miss an easy goal, when they call for a pass and their teammate ignores them, or simply because they just want to get the rewards and not play the game.
Winning a 3v4 game feels amazing, but it's also incredibly frustrating to have to play 3v4 in four or five straight games. Players who experience this regularly will become fed up with the mode, and will simply stop playing it.
This certainly isn't what EA Sports wants, as you want to captivate people into your new game mode, not drive them away. Unfortunately, that's what's happening right now.
A mode that is supposed to be fun and relaxing is being ruined by a part of the community that doesn't care about it. These are the same players that quit when you have a penalty and the game is tied, just so you don't get the win, even if that means they will lose in the process.
EA Sports needs to penalize players who go AFK on Rush and make rules that will discourage users from doing so in the future. If players just get a slap on the wrist or nothing at all, then Rush will continue to suffer from this problem.
This is a great game mode, but the AFK problem needs to be fixed as fast as possible, or Rush will become an afterthought for most players. Hopefully, EA Sports can fix this problem, and give Rush the support the mode deserves.
