What is Iron Banner in Destiny 2?

Iron Banner is an event in the Crucible that appears twice a season. Like Trials of Osiris, it's one of the marquee PvP events in Destiny 2 and offers unique armor and weapons. As always, it arrives at the weekly reset and leaves during the following.

In the event, players can earn tokens by completing matches. These tokens can be turned into Lord Saladin for armor, weapons, shaders, and more. The armor and gear from Iron Banner is some of the best in the game.

Season of Plunder's Iron Banner event was Eruption, a mode where, upon getting kills, players grow in power, entering a "Prime" state whereupon kills grant additional points but destroy the Guardian after 15 seconds. For Season of the Seraph, Guardians can expect a new mode dubbed Fortress.

Players can expect more information on Fortress later on.
