Changes

There are so many changes coming to the game with the next update, here are just a handful of the most substantial we know of right now.

Tower Shield Buff

In their latest Hearth and Home Spotlight, the team shared some new changes coming to the blocking mechanic. Tower shields are being made more tanky, seeing big players use them to hold back even the biggest enemies.

This is an effort to make different playstyles viable from moment to moment.

Food and Stamina

In a previous spotlight, the team elaborated on the importance of food. If you want to play a more defensive Viking, you now have to stay well-stocked on food as it gives to boost to damage deflection.

The team want food to feel like a more integral part of the game and this is the first step in doing so.

Treasure

In the new update, you will be able to present all your riches in designated piles or stacks. Mostly an aesthetic difference, this will make base building a little more interesting.

New Building Options

Perhaps the most substantial change made to the game will be in the game's building options. It pays particular attention to base building and gives players the option to do much more with their resources.

More little parts to slot together give a little more creative freedom to build whatever you would like.
