WWE 2K22 MyGM was a major focal point leading up to launch, but some players were left wanting more from the game mode.
Without much warning, they're getting exactly that with WWE 2K22 Update 1.09 adding Tag Titles and expanding match card length in MyGM.
WWE 2K22 MyGM gets surprise upgrades with Update 1.09
Since launch, developers Visual Concepts have kept relatively quick with updates and hotfixes that attempted to resolve some lingering crashes.
Nothing existed on the level of bugs that WWE 2K20 faced, but there were still issues plaguing some players that they wanted fixed in WWE 2K22 as quickly as possible.
We knew that DLC would be on the way later this month, but no one expected two major upgrades to MyGM to land in a sudden update.
WWE 2K22 Update 1.09 arrived on April 19, 2022, and it brought two big changes for MyGM, one being an expansion of match card length.
Previously, there were just 3 matches per weekly card, 4 for big PPV events like Payback or TLC, and 5 for the biggest like WrestleMania.
Now that's been expanded by 1 across the board for MyGM when playing on Normal or Hard Difficulty, bringing things to: 4 matches per weekly card, 5 for big PPV events, and 6 for WrestleMania.
Tag Titles join MyGM, effectively adding four champions per brand
The other major gripe players had was the absence of Tag Team Titles in WWE 2K22 MyGM at launch, especially as the mode itself did steer players towards tag matches.
With it constantly reminding you to keep the card balanced each week with a mix of singles and tag matches, many wanted to have Tag Titles to go with them.
Fortunately that's finally happened, as we can confirm both men's and women's Tag Titles have been added for every available brand in WWE 2K22 MyGM.
That allows you two sets of titles, and as a result allows four more superstars to be given titles and made champions.
These may be confusing to find at first, as you are not prompted to immediately crown tag champions at the start of a MyGM save.
Unlike the other titles on your brand, simply create a tag team match on your card when the titles are vacant and you'll notice the option to turn it into a title match should appear.
