Will AEW Fight Forever have cross-play?

AEW Fight Forever

AEW Fight Forever

AEW Fight Forever is a game that has raised many eyebrows in recent months, with still no sign of a confirmed release date for this WWE 2K23 competitor.

Legal battles and controversy at Tony Khan's company have led to multiple delays for the game and we're almost certainly reaching a 'now or never' space for the title.

That being said, there's still plenty of buzz and prospective players just want more and more info on this new wrestling title.

One major cause for hype is cross-play and we're taking a look at whether it will be implemented into AEW Fight Forever.

AEW Fight Forever Cross-Play

Right now, cross-play has not been mentioned as part of the promotional features for AEW Fight Forever.

We learned AEW Fight Forever will be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

On top of that, the game will have a standardized $59.99 price point across all platforms with no price hike on next-gen editions.

As we saw with the recent release of WWE 2K23, there was no cross-play compatibility in that game, and we're expecting this same rule to apply to AEW's challenger.

Whilst we know that AEW Fight Forever will release across multiple platforms, both old and new generations, we also know that cross-play implementation is highly unlikely right now.

Game Modes & Features

Early details and reports by both Fightful Select and Mike Straw of SGO tipped off that story mode would be a primary focus for AEW Fight Forever, and there were early mentions that creation modes and online multiplayer were also in the works.

Thanks to the official store listings, we've gotten tons of details confirming game modes, features, and match types for AEW Fight Forever.
