Two weeks after World of Warcraft: Dragonflight's official launch, players will finally get their hands on new PvE and PvP content with Dragonflight Season 1. Taking part in that will be the Race to World First for Vault of the Incarnates.
Held in every patch that has a brand-new raid release, the world's top guilds compete for who can be the fastest to beat the raid's final boss. The winner not only gets to claim that they're the best guild in the world, but they also crown themselves with the World First title.
The race's usual suspects are guilds like Echo from Europe and Liquid from North America, who have been duking it out since the Battle for Azeroth expansion. However, this time around, they'll have some tough competition from the likes of BDGG, Method, Aversion, and others.
Vault of the Incarnates is the expansion's first raid. Whoever wins, gets to set the tone for the expansion early—Will Echo three-peat? Will Liquid re-claim their thrown? Or will Method rise to the top once again?

Top Guilds heading into the Race to World First
The Race to World First for the Vault of the Incarnates will mainly be spearheaded by two guilds, Echo and Liquid, however, due to recent improvements, especially in the previous World First race, fans of the spectacle can expect the likes of BDGG, Method, and Aversion to make a name in the race.
Players can look towards these guilds to make waves, possibly surprising the World First race entirely. BDGG has long been North America's number two guild although they are quite a ways from being on the level of Liquid, they have that spot down pat. Aversion, on the other hand, is Germany's best guild, which in the previous Race to World First made some strides.
However, out of all of them, Method is the safest bet to cause an upset as not only did they take home second place last race—partially due to Liquid dropping out of the race after they realized they lost—they've made some tremendous strides, bringing in stronger players. Before Echo, there was Method, quite literally as all of Method's players migrated over to Echo to start the Battle for Azeroth expansion, and now the guild's back—other competitors need to watch out.
All in all, though, players should really be on the lookout for Echo and Liquid as they've become strong rivals since the Battle for Azeroth expansion. Currently, Echo's riding high on two back-to-back World First titles while Liquid is trying to get back in it after finishing Battle for Azeroth and beginning Shadowlands with wins.
