Cross-faction play has been a highly sought-after feature in World of Warcraft for years. This was especially the case with cross-faction guilds.
At long last, after nearly 20 years of disagreements, disputes, and discord, come to the Shadowlands 9.2.5 patch and later Dragonflight, both the Alliance and Horde players could settle their differences and play together via cross-faction play.
Soon after that, players began asking the question - Will WoW Dragonflight have Cross-Faction Guilds? Here's the answer to that.
Will WoW Dragonflight have Cross-Faction Guilds?
Players could do just about anything with others of the opposing faction once cross-faction play was first introduced. From Mythic+ and raids to other types of instanced content, after years of separation, suddenly, the Alliance and Horde players could officially fight side by side.
However, even though the factions could now fight a common enemy, they still couldn't take part in the same guild... until now.
Cross-faction guilds will be a part of World of Warcraft with the release of the Dragonflight 10.1 patch. Nearly a year after cross-faction play was introduced, players will also be able to take part in the same guild.
There's no specific release date for WoW Dragonflight patch 10.1. However, looking at the 2023 WoW Dragonflight content roadmap that Blizzard unveiled in late December of 2022, players can expect Dragonflight patch 10.1 to drop around the early summer months around the months of May or early June.
