How to Change Characters in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
In story mode of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, there are two central ways to change character. You can use the bumper buttons to go back and forth or you click left and right on the D-Pad to manually select who you want to be.
As you play the story, more characters will be able to play, all with their own classes and abilities. Luckily, there's a lot more available after you complete missions.
Unlocking Free Play
After a mission has finished, you have access to it via any character in the entire game. Once in a level, you can click up on the D-Pad to cycle through all your characters to pick the perfect one.
As you have access to the entire roster, you will rarely be left out of a puzzle without the tools to get it finished. You do have to start episode VII to get the scavenger abilities so make sure to do that.
How to buy characters
You can buy new characters from the menu but they require a decent chunk of Studs and you actually have to unlock them first. This can be done by completing certain missions or finishing side quests.
There is truly so much to do in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga so you may struggle to find every last character. You can pick up Stud multipliers from the extras menu to earn them at a much quicker rate.
