Rocket League Sideswipe has just been announced for mobile devices and we have everything you need to know about what's in store for this new Rocket League experience.
Rocket League Sideswipe
Rocket League is headed to mobile devices and Sideswipe is shaping up to be epic!
What's more, is that it looks like this could become one of the best competitive mobile gaming experiences outside of shooting titles going forward.
" Rocket League Sideswipe will feature mobile controls that are easy to pick up whether you're a master of Rocket League or a new player still learning your way around the field. Plus, there are advanced mechanics, just like Rocket League, for those who want to climb the Competitive Ranks."

Release Date & Pricing
As with any new announcement, we don't actually have anything specific about when this upcoming Rocket League mobile game is coming out.
All we do know is that it's due later this year and it will be free to play.
This isn't too surprising when you consider the fact that Rocket League has recently gone free to play, but it does mean that we should expect some microtransactions going forwards.
Platforms
What makes this Rocket League a little different from the others is that Sideswipe is exclusively a mobile game.

That means Rocket League Sideswipe is only going to be available on iOS and Android mobile devices when it launches.
There's no word on whether this will eventually be ported to another platform but it seems unlikely.
" We're hard at work on this free mobile game for iOS and Android that takes the core, competitive gameplay of Rocket League and reimagines it for a mobile device."

Although this would suggest that Rocket League Sideswipe is an easier Rocket League experience, don't be fooled... It's going to be tough.
Additional Information & Regional Tests
Rocket League Sideswipe is currently undergoing Regional Testing in the Oceanic region (Australia and New Zealand). This is only available on Android devices via the Google Play Store but it's a promising sign for those looking for a release schedule.
Psyonix has confirmed that additional Regional Testing and Betas will arrive in the coming months. However, they have not specified when just yet.
For more information, we're confident Rocket League's social media channels will be up to date with the latest news.
